Hi Folks!

Come join us to help clear invasive blackberries between Riverside Drive and the Sammamish River Trail!

When: September 21
Time: 8 a.m. to Noon
Where: Riverside Drive across from the Chauteau, approx. 9911 West Riverside Drive

Invasive blackberries are taking over the strip of land between Riverside Drive and the side trail connecting Blyth Park to Bothell Landing. Come help us cut and clear them to clear sightlines, prevent overgrowth onto the road and trail, and allow future plantings of native species.

We will provide snacks and drinks, as well as tools and gloves. Feel free to bring your own gloves and tools if you have favorites, though! Please also wear clothing that can get scratched and help protect you from the thorns. No power tools allowed, even battery-powered, per Bothell rules.

Come any time between 8 and noon and stay as long as you like. We are starting early in case it is warm, and will be there rain or shine, but heavy showers will cancel.

Please note that I-405 will be closed and traffic on the side roads leading to the area may be heavier than normal. The Sammamish River Trail along the river will also be closed, so traffic on the bike trail will be heavier than normal, too.

There will be parking along the road or at Blyth Park.
