This month come join us for a tree scavenger hunt at the Park at the Former Wayne Golf Course.

Find the 8 trees and 8 tree situations (like an ivy-covered tree) on the cards that we will hand out, and win prizes! Great fun for the whole family. We’ll ask for photos or a location where you found the trees or situations. Find them all and win a prize!

We’ll be starting at Blyth Park and walk over to the Park at Wayne from there: Here are the directions to Blyth Park.

We will start at 10 a.m.

All ages are welcome, as are dogs on leash. Bring the kids and get them out of the house! We will be following King County COVID guidelines.

Over the next few months, we’ll be working on some more exciting walks. The schedule is tentative. Walks are the last Saturday of every month at 10 a.m.

  • September 25, a local historian will recount the history of Wayne.
  • October 30, a talk about salmon and the return of Kokanee, until recently thought to be extinct here.
  • November 27, a repeat of the geology talk since the heat in June kept many people away.
